Surveillance Auditing Service
Over the past ten years, monitoring has been a fundamental tool for brands and retailers to ensure their suppliers compliant with codes. However, suppliers are learning how to perform well in audits by better preparation of documents or coaching of workers. Unconventional audit approaches have become increasing important in overcoming the limitations of the traditional auditing tools, especially the surveillance audit.
Surveillance audit is intended to ensure that acceptable labor conditions are maintained in the facility. Surveillance provides essential information on the risk and state of compliance of facility, identifying any corrective actions needed to manage risk and bring performance up to the level required by codes.
Methodology
Information gathering
We focus on the following information: local context, media reports, local stakeholder concerns and internet sources.
Community visit
Local community visit plays an important role in our investigation. Information from local stakeholders such as workforce, shift, working hour and employment practice is vital to our investigation.
Onsite investigation
We'll visit the facility on working days and rest days to verify working hours and other employment practices.
Offsite interview
Off-site worker interview can avoid impacts from management and help relax workers to talk. Workers information will be kept confidential in case of retaliation. Group and individual interviews will be conducted. Wide range of workers will be selected by gender and age. Hard evidence such as photos and audio will be kept for reference.
